3/25 & 3/26 South Tampa Bay report

Headed out Friday to the southshore area with hopes of catching some snook. Targeted mangrove shorelines with deeper water. Throwing chummers produced some fish in open water, but the two biggest fish of the day came from sight casting to fish.

This fish measured just shy of 28".

This one came in at 26".
Though we had some success, there were times where the fish just simply would not hit something that had a hook in it. It was sort of an inconsistent bite.

Saturday fished around the ft desoto area and had similar success with the snook bite but the bite was slower than Friday. Also caught some trout early on the outgoing tide in some potholes, only one keeper size the rest about 14". Nothing picture worthy this trip but it was a fun days worth of fishing.

All fish were caught on livebait. Snook hit pilchards, threads, and pinfish. Trout hit threads, and pilchards.
