very nice..wish i could take photos like these but not in the cards for me.
Consider going to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine.
There's a pond in the park filled with alligators.
In the trees above the pond there are dozens if not hundreds of nests filled with an incredible amount of shore birds.
I found out at the farm these birds build their nests over alligator ponds and streams to protect their young from ground predators.
I have been told by a Florida oldtimer that this has been the best Spoonie season in 20 years. I have only been here ten years, and it is the best Spoonie season, for me, by far. They seem to have been every where I turn, all winter season.

Spoonbills have some great color...
Capybara's are vicious and should not be let alone with small children. In-laws are another matter.............

What was the aperture for that one?
F/7.1 and I was only about fifteen feet away. Notice how the body falls out of focus.
