Volusia County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for a man who stole a money box from a 12-year-old girl selling Girl Scout Cookies Sunday outside a Deltona Wal-Mart, according to a news release from Sheriff’s Office spokesman Andrew Gant.
The theft happened Sunday afternoon outside the Wal-Mart at 101 Howland Blvd., when a man approached the girl’s table outside the store at 3:42 p.m., grabbed the box full of money, and ran into the parking lot, Gant said.
Volusia County sheriff’s investigators arrested two suspects — a brother and sister from Deltona — in the recent theft of a cash box from a Girl Scout selling cookies outside a Deltona Wal-Mart, according to a news release from Volusia County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Andrew Gant.
Nicholas Delbrugge, 20, and Ashley Winters, 25, were arrested Thursday evening after returning to Deltona from a recent trip to North Carolina.
Investigators had been following the pair since Tuesday, when a New Smyrna Beach police officer who saw surveillance images of the suspects told the Sheriff’s Office that the male suspect appeared to be Delbrugge, whom he’d arrested in the pyast.
