FHP: Angry Florida driver hit, killed after throwing beer bottles at SUV he side-swiped

Monday, February 22nd 2016, 10:00 am EST

TRINTY, Fla. - Troopers in Central Florida said a driver died when a car struck him after he crossed a road to throw beer bottles at a sport-utility vehicle that he side-swiped.

According the Florida Highway Patrol, a car going north on East Lake Road near Crescent Oaks Boulevard in Pasco County side-swiped a SUV around 11 p.m. Sunday.

The SUV pulled off to the right side of the road, while the car ended up in the median.

Troopers say the car's driver got out of his vehicle, crossed the road yelling and screaming and throwing beer bottles at the people in the SUV.

As he went to cross the road again to get back to his car, apparently he did not check for oncoming traffic and was struck and killed by a second car.

The FHP is not planning on filing any charges. There were no other injuries to report.
