After replacing a 5 year old starting battery which croaked last weekend(luckily before launching). Thanks to those responding to my previous post those recommending a jump pack. still considering that option.
Launched @ Caxambas Pass Saturday. Water temp was 65.9f
Started on the beach and caught a lizard fish, a few hand size jacks and some small ladyfish all on jerk baits and bucktail jigs. Into Blind Pass and caught a number of 3-5 pound jacks. After 20 minutes, went into Morgan River. A few small jacks and ladyfish. Lost a nice keeper size trout on a jerkbait and tossed the anchor. I caught a 17" and the GF got one almost 18". There was a small sheepshead, silver trout and mango caught/released as well and that was it. Onto a shoreline near Cape Romano and 1 little ladyfish. Went to a little island with good tidal flow bordering 2 mudflats. 1 dink trout and 2 ladyfish. Back to the beach with high tide. Nothing there. Put the boat on the trailer about 12:30.
Water was a bit stained but the beach was nice at high tide with good clarity for the Marco area.

Be safe out there, see you 2 weeks and the next 3 weeks straight after that. Lots of open weekends. Hope the weather holds.
I did talk to one guide while cleaning the trout. He and his clients got a number of silver trout, probably 20. A few trout as well.
Kind of a slower day, but it was good to back after a 6-week hiatus due to work/weather, etc.
