Can you give an example of the progress you'd like to see using a country (countries) that are not run by, at least in recent history, white Christians, and explain exactly what is the "progress" you are looking for?

That's funny. We have a black leader, and as far as equality and liberty, blacks have lost ground since 2008. In regard to liberty, with the exception of gay issues, liberty has also taken a hit since 2008.
The only equality is that EVERYONE AND THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN get to share in the 12 TRILLION DOLLARS this not white/ non-Christian President has added to the debt.
Obama has started his own group Cino's (Christian in name only).

Progressives still believe in Freedom of Religion. Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Agnostics, Atheists, etc - Coexisting equally.

A few decades later, they followed that up by inflicting the worst defeats (+-150,000 pow's) on the UK in its entire military history along with sinking what remained of its Pacific fleet. Japan next went onto to quickly destroy France's military forces in Vietnam along with the Dutch in Indonesia.
That makes Japan 4, and the "white European countries" 0.

Maybe "we'll get to the point that" being Jewish is no longer "a hindrance to getting elected"?
Maybe "we'll get to the point that" being a woman is no longer "a hindrance to getting elected"?
Conversely, we might "get to the point" where The Donald's domination of the GOP Clown Car "is just a delusion"?
Not to mention the white part, I would safely assume the critics posting here all are white, also. Is there a form of self-loathing involved? Anyone, regardless of what color they are, that despises being associated with something as superficial as the color of their own skin probably has deeper-seated issues that would preclude any rational assessment concerning the matter.
White Christians have given us the greatest nation, and forms of government in the Earth, continually seeking to improve our lot for the good of all citizens. That doesn't make us any better than anyone else as individuals, but there is something to be said for the culture. In comparison with Utopia, we still fall pretty short and it appears that is the unrealistic standard we are held against. In comparison with all the other nations throughout the world though, we are that great, "Shining City on a Hill", as John Winthrop so eloquently and accurately opined.
Two trends have been noted repeatedly in this forum:
1. Christianity, and now the percentage of white citizens, are on the decline.
2. The average national intelligence is in decline.
Coincidence?
If "we are that great... In comparison with all the other nations throughout the world" why has Trump been trying so hard to peddle the slogan "Let's Make American Great Again"?
