Question about psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis

I was diagnosed with both in June of last year. Dr prescribed Otezla and prednisone which helped but seems to have lost a great deal of its effectiveness. I asked about trying some of the biologics but he declined because I have had several basil cell carcinomas even though my dermatologist has no objections.

Going to a different rheumatologist this week.


If any of you have these types of arthritis what treatment has worked for you?

BTW, I also have a prescription for tramadol for pain but rarely take it as Tylenol works about as well.

I've had bad arthritis for years and went thru so many different pills and stuff that seemed to work for awhile then it was onto the next thing.
Here is what has worked for me.

Sundown naturals fish oil
3600 mg twice a day
(Keep in freezer)

Tumeric.....once a day
Get this one
Curcumin2K
This has black pepper in it to help absorb all ingredients

This regiment was given to me last year by a friend in Miami who trains body builders and has worked wonders.
Might be worth a shot for you.

Thanks, I saw a homeopathic treatment consisting of a tea made of ground ginger, ground turmeric with honey as a sweetener haven't tried it yet but may give it a shot. Both ginger and turmeric are supposed to be anti inflammatory.

I've been on Humira pen, 40mg 2xmonth since 2007 before that Raptiva worked for a couple of years. 2 Aleve in the morning help get with the discomfort. I've had basal cell, squamous cell and melanomas removed - all part of growing up in FL. My dermatologist sent me to the rheumatologist once my psoriasis developed in & to psoriatic arthritis.
