My dad has one with 175k on it an 2007. Only issues he's had is the exhaust manifold cracked and they are some $$$$! We put an aftermarket header on it which he hates. But the fumes were making him crazier then he already is
They like their gas for being a mini truck. I have 2 single cabs for guys at work. Had them for 2 years, bought used. One has 35k and the other 45k miles. No major problems so far.
Those Canyon diesels start around 36k. Seems like a lot for a mid size truck. You could get a Tacoma for 25k, drive it for 3 years and sell if for 23900.
I think the Tacoma is a no brainer, not because they're great trucks, because the resale value is just stupid.
If you go to South America they are everywhere with a diesel and they run and last forever. I think the 2.8 Duramax is a different motor though for more giddyup in the US.

Same in the middle east. Drove diesel LUV tricks and Rangers every day. Fun trucks

Yup, I was in a major accident with a 2004 with 120K last year, thought for sure they would total it, they ended up fixing the repairs with a sum of 11K.

That's insane. I don't know how they do it with those Tacomas, they start off costing less than the Tundras, but their resale is higher after about 5 years. I've test drove them, and there was nothing super special about the Tacomas. People just like them I guess. I don't know if the reactor meltdown back in Japan caused their operation to shut down production or not back a few years ago, maybe that had something to do with it.
I have an 05 Colorado with the 5 cylinder I purchased for my company travel in the area.No problems at all (aside from an oak branch falling on it providing a few dents)Decent gas mileage and with the 4 door, enough room inside for all my paperwork and tools.Right at 150,000 miles right now and occasionally pull a 12'utility trailer with no issues.

With the Dakota out of production it is about the best small truck that is on the market.
Slap a turbo diesel in them and give them some butt to haul a boat, and I'd strongly consider one

Have you ordered your Bin Laden yet?
Sorry I've always been a yota fan, please present these facts. Pretty sure you're being biased, just like me.

NO!
While the Taco's have been a great truck, side-by-side comparison says that the new Colorado is ahead.
I believe that they are going to be placing a 2.8L Duramax Diesel in them as well if not already.

I think the Chevy is the Colorado, the GMC is the Canyon. I personally think the Canyons look better.

For Toyota to compete, don't be surprised to see a Yota with a Cummins diesel soon in the 'Merican market.
When I posted that I had no idea TTT was gonna make you a mod. Please forgive me.
