Had an inguinal hernia several years back.
surgery and two weeks later, back to work

    But you have something different

I had an inguinal as well.

Laproscopic surgery, worst part was the gas pains.

I was back at the desk on Monday (Surgery on a Thursday) but wasn't back to normal for about 2 weeks. Still had weight restrictions (carrying stuff) for about a month.

I like your sense of humor. The long gas passing video was funny:USA

had a double inguinal - surgeon I had,he was an old school guy.told me not to have it done laproscopic, due to the work I do,and my life style.had it done "open".lots of staples...3 days later, had a job that had to be done.sold a client's boat.needed to load the boat onto the trailer - then unload/block in front of the shop - paint bottom, service motor/systems and sea trail.carrying cinder blocks wasn't the smartest move I ever made...but...I got the job done, sea trialed it the next day.went to the surgeon, had staples removed - he asked me if I was working - I told him the truth, then i told him,i was tuna fishing that week end...

tore up a few things, down there...surgeon was pretty cheezed off i ruined his 25yr,"no return" record...

next time,i took it easy...gave it 2 weeks to heal - that was 5yrs ago...

can we please stop using the word ISSUE ? it's a PROBLEM

Had the right side inguinal repair done with mesh and staples a couple of years ago. No problems.
Had the left side done last Friday, so far so good. Will start cutting out or back on the vicodin tomorrow.

I had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia a couple years back. All went well with the repair and recovery until I developed a hydrocele (turn off images before you google that). Fixing that was 100x worse than the hernia surgery.
