Pompano Sunrise

Arrived at my trusted haunt in Melbourne Beach at sunrise. I shared the beach with ONE other fisherman.. surf was about 2-3 ft , winds 5-10, and overcast.I launched my rigs loaded with sand fleas ,placed them in the spikes, and voila..

Oh man... you're making me can't wait for spring time run on the West Coast! Maybe I'll buy some surf rod and drive over there this weekend. LOL

Well.. not to catch pompano on the West coast... I just use a 6' rod and jig for them. total different from the surf fishing over there.

I do have a 10' surf rod but I think it's still short for over there.
