Dolphin on a rough day

Been reading the forum for many years. Rarely post. Making an effort to post more going forward.

Went out today (Monday 1-25) at 8am out of Hillsboro. Trolled lures looking for Wahoo for about an hour. No hits.

Forecast called for light variable winds. It was not. 12 to 15 knots out of NW/N. Big swells but long periods, so could have been worse. Seas were solid 5 to 7 in Gulf Stream initially, but laid down a little when wind shifted more East.

Worked our way out. About 12 to 13 miles out finally saw some weeds. Ended up with 9 Dolphin 23" to 30" and 1 Skip Jack. All on lures, chunk baits and 1 small grunt that was our compliment of live bait.

Had to pick up kids from school at 2. Hit inlet on return by 12 45. Productive, but short day.
