Shad Showing Up Yet?

Hey guys just curious if the shad are showing up yet in numbers down there on the St Johns and how the water levels are.
Any Info greatly appreciated.

How do shad taste or are they crab bait? Never ate, but I remember catching them when I was a kid on light tackle.

they are crab bait, I think they are the same as pogies but instead of sabuki them offshore they can be taken in the St Johns on flies and small arti's

Brother in law went just south of 46 (jolly roger)one shad,crappie,and a nice sunshine bass.

Got out there today, kinda slow but a few shad where caught, about 8 between 4 of us. Fished about a half day then hit Jolly Gator for lunch.

Water level was very high.



Ryan can now knock Fresh water (American) Shad on fly off his bucket list
