Woke up at the crack of 9:30 (oops overslept) was planning on venturing to Ft. Pierce but that plan was scrapped. Drove down A!A, stopping periodically and taking glimpses at the surf- decided to set up at Bonsteel (great water clarity & color). I had three bites during my abridged trip, which resulted in three fish (utilized sand fleas/CFB).

Yes. look at the sheepshead pic and you'll see the sandflea/clam fishbite combo

Nice. Fished there yesterday and had to use six ounces to hold bottom. No luck fishing first trough. Another guy was catching bluefish on a regular basis on cut bait. Thanks for sharing.

Needed 6oz to hold as well..all the fish caught were at a considerable distance from shore..bluefish aren't to crazy about sandfleas.

hey south . i really enjoy your posts. thanks for that. it helps keep me warm up here in Wisconsin.
i come down to Sebastion at the end of April for a week and would like to try surf fishing.
can you maybe give me some tips as to where i might start? i have some nice lake Michigan gear that should do the trick.
