Melbourne Beach Pomps

Here's some pics from my most recent excursion to the pristine beaches of Melbourne. The wind was blowing 20plus from the north and seas were agitated, but that didn't stop the pomps from chewing.

Nice Size pomps and awesome bones! Did you get them on clams or fleas?

Looks like a flea hanging out of that bones mouth.

Surely at some point during your day, the waves went flat and you sight casted a fly to those bonefish when they were almost on the beach tailing after sandfleas! Don't you remember? Cool catch there indeed!

Bonefish & Drum caught in the first trough and Pompano were caught at a considerable distance. Might give Ft.pierce a shot in the morning...great reports coming from there.

Wow, that is impressive for this area! Seen a few babies caught in a cast net but never a full size bone around here. Congrats, now you just gave 100 lurkers hope to target Bonefish in this area.
