Special 12 hour offshore trip offer for Florida Sportsmen Forum members

I wanted to extend an offer to FS Forum members for a discount for a new party boat operation new to the area. I am now operating a vessel out of Marco Island named the Capt. Speedy. The vessel is located at 951 Bald Eagle Drive Marco Island, at Rose Marina. Oldtimers around the region will recognize this as Marco River Marina.

The Capt. Speedy is a 65 foot party fishing vessel inspected to carry 72 passengers. We are primarily going to be running 3/4 day trips, 9-4pm but we will be running a 12 hour trip once a week and will be doing a night snapper trip.

We recently concluded our Coast Guard re-route inspection and prior to the start of season, I was wanting to extend a discount to FS Forum members. My plan was to offer all forum members a 25.00 discount on a 12 hour trip on January 30th if there is any interest here. It will be an offshore trip targeting grouper and snapper. We will depart at 6am and return at 6pm.

If there is any interest here, I will create a promo code for our online booking site.

Trip would be January 30th 6am-6pm.

I am interested, and will talk to some buddies and see if I can get a big group together for you. This would include all bait correct?

It appears that there has been sufficient interest generated about this trip. I will go ahead and create a promo code on our online booking site and create the discount for FS Forum members. I will pass the information along on here on Monday. For those of you who are members of the Naples Fishing Club, I will be speaking at your next meeting, January 12th at 7:15.

Definitely interested. May bring up to 4 with me. Is the price with discount the $100?

I've had several calls and DM's about this trip asking about moving this trip to February. I am moving this trip to February 13th, a Saturday. Nothing better than a Valentine's Day gift for your significant other than a slab of grouper.

This weather never ends. More rain this month in January than we get in a typical month in the summer rainy season. Early forecasts are showing very windy conditions the weekend of February 5-7th. I have backed this trip up to February 20th and that is as far as I can move it due to other commitments for the vessel. I will be making a decision this coming week and will post the promo code for forum users to enter to get the 25.00 discount on the trip.

I know we are all frustrated by this weather, hopefully when the calendar flips to February, things will improve. I'll have a final announcement this coming week as to when this trip will be scheduled.

So, after several weeks of one of the worst winters with some of the worst combinations of conditions I can remember, I am prepared to announce that we are finally running the 12 hour trip this coming weekend, Saturday February 27th. Departing Rose Marina in Marco Island at 6 am returning at 6 pm. My offer for a discount for FS Forum members still stands. $100.00 instead of the regular 125.00 price. Anyone interested should DM me here prior to Friday and leave a contact number. A few questions that I've had so far- No, there are no assigned spots on the boat. No, there is no livewell on the boat. We provide squid and sardines for bait as well as terminal tackle. You may bring a cooler, as long as it does not have wheels. Prohibited items include firearms, hard liquor, any glass containers and illegal drugs. We are fishing somewhere between 70-100 feet of water targeting red grouper and various snapper species. Current Federal regulations allow for a 2 per person bag limit on red grouper under the 4 total aggregate limit while gag groupers are closed. This coming Saturday looks to be one of the nicest weekends we have seen since the start of the new year.
