Off Shore Cape end of Jan

Bringing boat down from Jax end of the month after being repowered and if the weather works out will have 3 days to fish off shore from the Cape. Don't want any secret spots, mostly going after Mahi and Wahoo, any advise will be great. Due East? SE? 120-150 ft? High Speed or just meat.

Thanks

From my limited experience...I prefer heading SE toward Pelican Flats and putting the spread out anywhere from 100'+ when the water has good temp change, rip or weedlines. I've had best luck with rigged ballyhoo with blue/white or pink/white islanders. Often get hits on naked hoos as well. I have fished out to 400'-500', but always have best luck from 100'-250'. Hope this helps.

Honestly, if u want wahoo, head out to Elton bottom out of Jax. Mahi and wahoo are not that plentiful from cape to Sebastian this time of year

    I agree !
Went out to. 600 feet on Wednesday.
    Water up to 77.75
    A few sails crusin' south.
    Small blackfins to be had.
No dolphin or who's caught by the 4 rigs
    that fished this day.
No edge or weed lines and flyers were scarce.

    Good luck if you try.
