Best river to bowfish

I'm looking to bowfish tilapia I live in avon park and can drive some distance but preferred something close to me.

I wonder if someone would give away their secrets. I am in Sebring and am interested in Bowfishing. The Tilapia in Sebring's Lake Jackson are extremely skittish so I am looking for another venue.

i know we have tons of creeks around highlands alot of people say to go to Okeechobee but all we have is a jon boat with no motor so was looking for something closer til we at least got a trolling motor.

There are no shortage of them in most residential ponds and canals. I would look at retention ponds . You may be able to walk the bank.
