Fish ID. Bigmouth sleeper????

Family came down to visit last year and thought this was a snakehead. At first glance I told them no, it was a bowfin, but after looking at the picture today its definitely not that either. Is this one of those super rare bigmouth sleepers?

I thought it was a chain pickerel at first but the tail isn't forked. I didn't know there was such a critter here until reading this post. Thanks for posting. Where did you catch it at?

Definitely not a pickerel, caught thousands of them. Caught this critter in Boca
