bullhead catfish

Does anyone know about Hampton lake in starke fl? We have been catfishing at night and I think they are brown bullheads.. Not sure if anyone knows if there are different types of catfish in this lake. I have been reading that the bullheads are not the best eating.

any pics you can post? I agree on eating Bulls/Flat/Hard heads, not my favorite. Now fresh Channel Catfish is a completely different story, I'll take an extra helping or two of that. On the Saltwater I only keep Gaftop/Sailcat, very good too.

I prefer the bullheads, about 10" long, de-headed skinned, and fried whole.

Yes sir that is them. We catch alot of them with the whitish and yellowish belly..

I've caught brown bullheads fishing for bass with spinnerbaits and plastic worms. Them things are bass in a catfishes body.

We wear out the Channel Cats with Suspending Jerk baits on occasion while fishing the Schoolie bass. 10" or under is good but aren't they all when they are that young.
