Guy kills Waffle House Waitress for asking him not to smoke. While most folks that carry would do nothing of the sort, here we go again. Stuff like this leads to those negative blanket assessments of a whole group based on the idiotic actions of the few.

I'll take the bait.
Folks that don't feel too afraid to leave their house without a firearm would never do that, no matter how crazy or irrational they may be.
Cry me a river.
people like the shooter in this case have taught me it's foolish to leave the house unarmed.
it would be like going to wedding where men were dancing in Palestine and expecting Hamas not to show up and gun down those celebrating the wedding
Sounds just like America.
Got mowed down on duty by a car. Severe injuries, Tramatic Brain stuff.
Prayers for everybody involved....
Probably drunk too.
MCDONOUGH, GA (CBS46) -Two men are dead following a shooting during an alleged home invasion at a Henry County apartment complex early Monday morning.
The incident happened around 7 a.m. at the Sable Chase Apartments on Sable Chase Boulevard in McDonough.
The 911 caller advised that more than one suspect had broken into the home during a robbery attempt and one or more of the suspects had been shot.
Police told CBS46 that the resident fatally shot at the suspects in self-defense inside of his apartment. One of the suspects died inside the home. A second suspect's body was found behind the apartment complex.
Police are looking for a third suspect who got away.
Police spoke with dozens of residents, who were home when the shots were fired.
"Sad situation, that's all I can say," said Ashley Smith, who had just gotten home from work and was falling asleep when she heard the sound overhead. "I just heard three shots and some footsteps."
"I mean, I knew they was shooting. I heard gun shots. I know gun shots when I hear them," said Smith.
Henry County Police Capt. Joey Smith said they're investigating the incident as a break-in and the residents felt their lives were in danger, and did what they had to do.
"If you can justify an attempt, and you feel in fear of your life, you can defend yourself," said Capt. Smith.
Henry County police said the resident will not face any charges.

Man accused of firing gun outside liquor store
A Delray Beach man was arrested after authorities said he fired shots outside a liquor store.
Eric Mazzola, 21, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Monday and later released. He faces three charges, including using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Mazzola and two other men bought a Red Bull at a store called 5 AM Liquor, and Mazzola fired rounds into the air from a .45-caliber handgun with a silencer attached.
When police arrived, they found 12 spent casings near the store's window and in the parking lot.
The police found the men in the car nearby and also discovered four more casings, the gun, and unopened Budweiser beer bottles.

Two men accused of yelling racial slurs at couple, firing gun
Two men riding in a truck yelled a racial slur at a black man and a black woman, then fired shots from a handgun into the air, according to West Palm Beach police.
Nobody was injured in Monday's incident, but Patrick Gordon, and the man driving the car, Calvin Wilder, were both arrested on several charges, including aggravated assault. They remained in the Palm Beach County Jail on Tuesday.
Police said a black man and a black woman told them that two men driving in a white, Ford F-150 were traveling northbound on Broadway Avenue when the man in the back seat yelled a racial profanity and fired a gun. The two "stated that they were scared for their lives and began running," according to the police report.
The police found the truck in the area within 10 minutes and asked Wilder, 18, to get out of the car. When he did, according to the report, a spent shell casing fell from his lap.
Police said they found three spent 9mm shell casings on the floor, a loaded handgun, a loaded rifle, and four loaded magazines.
Gordon, 18, told police that he and Wilder went out drinking for the night in downtown Lake Worth, left and wound up in downtown West Palm Beach, where they "spoke to a black female," according to the report.
"For an unknown reason, Wilder pulled out a black firearm and began to shoot it into the air," an officer wrote in the report.
Gordon told police he then took the gun, fired it into the air, gave the gun back to Wilder where he again fired it into the air.

How do we keep people like those in the above stories from getting handguns? I have no issues with responsible individuals owning and/or carrying, but not eveyone should be able to carry a firearm.
how do we keep them from driving a vehicle that can be far more dangerous then a gun? pre crime arrests? or operating a boat? of becoming a teacher? or working on natural gas equipment?
You have to understand what a gun is and used for. A car or boat is not designed to kill.
a gun is unique as it can be used by a very small person to defend their life against a superior attacking force. our founders wanted the citizens to always be armed in order to keep the government from taking away all the rest of their rights. looks like our founders were spot on about what would happen with our government
What of the rights of people that are attacked or threatened by those that should not own a gun? Do I have a right to be in public without being threatened by a crazy, armed person?
In the past ten years....what has been done to address mental health issues in this nation?
He never carries and I asked him why. He said " the moment you pull the gun out, your problems are only beginning"
He was not on all the watch lists you are
I believe your neighbor may be on to something.
