Pescatoral Pursuit

Missed the mullet/ tarpon migration that ran through e central due to work obligations and now that I have some time this week was hoping to venture a little south to see if we could catch up to them.

Any info, help finding them is appreciated. I checked the reports but there didn't seem to be much concerning this inlet with the exception of one well dialed in snooker.

The mullet run is over in Jupiter. There are still some around but the migration is gone. There's plenty of pelagic out front but it's a little rough for small boats. Hopefully the wind will die down and the temp will come back up.

Thanks for the reply. I'm primarily interested if there are lingering tarpon in the inlet.

They were as of last week. I know another spot that's a virtual guarantee and easier to fish, its a night bite though... when you planning on hitting them?

I have been seeing tarpon on the back side of Jaycee Park on Hutchinson Island. They have been there in the AM feeding on mullet. Since the north wind has been blowing I haven't seen one roll or take a bait. Just Jacks...

Mucho thanks to you guys that offered some helpful tips. Conditions were bad (wind, wind, and more wind) so were not able to try some out. Did catch some fish, nothing sexy except an undersize Gag. Neat place though.
