11/10/15 Key West Kayak - Sailfish, Amberjack, Angry Shark, Blackfin Tuna, and more

Two and a half years ago I made a good decision. When I bought my Lowrance Elite 5, I opted for the extended warranty. Last month the unit finally died and I was able to get a replacement from Lowrance (they upgraded me to the Chirp 5 for free including the new cable). At no additional cost that warranty saved me 3-4 hundred dollars, so with my new found wealth I invested in a couple of generations old Gopro 3 Black off Ebay. Got the unit and have been test firing it and learning editing for the last couple of weeks. Have been putting some of my kayak adventures on Youtube. I had just started posting pics on this site, but I only had my Iphone and that is just a disaster waiting to happen on a kayak. So, now I get to spend ten times the amount of time to post something with all the editing that has to be done. Oh well, a video is worth a thousand photos.

Today, with such flat calm weather, decided to do some trolling and jigging the wrecks. Ended up with a good mixed bag on what I thought would be a tough day because it was so calm. Looking forward to a cold snap to get stuff moving in closer.

So, check out the video.

In case there are any kayakers needing some places to launch by some good fishing spots, I put together a video on kayak launches in Key West and also one covering from Bahia Honda Bridge to Key West (Lower Keys). Just check the uploads section.
