Nearshore dives 10/31

Made it out offshore to 50' of water to some of our ledges, got a crew together to do a couple dives in the morning and early afternoon. Visibility near the surface was a total murk to 30' down and then it cleared up for about a 15' vis. Plenty of quality hogs and bigger mangroves and managed to stick one gag that was 23". There was a school of them but they scurried off as soon as we made it down there.

Nice job, that looks like a lot of fun. I was one dive away from my scuba certification, should have done it! How big are those mangos, seem like they have some size to them.

Most were in the 17-20" range. Diving is a blast, those were actually the first time we tank dove this year. Been a busy schedule but will most likely do more in the mornings before work. That is the one glory of diving you choose the ones you want. The bigger ones however are much more skiddish and you have a very short window to get them before they scoot away and become less curious in you.

Was supposed to start on my divemaster course as well but fgcu classes and work schedule conflicted and have to do it at another date.
