What about the federal case hoopla about the cop who busted the girl in class?

Fish HaidFish Haid Posts: 8,417 Admiral
Surprised nobody has discussed this on here yet - or did I miss it?

Lady in diner this morning was telling everyone around her how shocked and outraged she was about this. I told her that I agreed, and that the cop should have just used a billy club upside the girl's head instead. Oops! lady was mad at the cop! Oh well, I made my point, and got her blood pressure up.

Bring back the paddle with the holes drilled in it,a few whacks with that paddle and she would never thought of being on the phone in class in the first place.

I second the Wood Shampoo. Seriously, a little overboard, but she should bear full responsibility. Sue her and her parents, the school system, etc. She should be expelled from that school forever and prosecuted as possible. You think she will not be the big hero bragging about getting the officer fired? Ban her for life.

A little over board for a 14 yo refusing to give up her cell phone don't ya think?

How often do you beat your kids?

She's a kid, the cop was supposed to be the adult, instead he was an amateur, ticking time bomb, poorly trained, potentially psychopath, a child.

Do you really believe that? Only a cell phone?

    She just needs a hug.

He was fired today. Evil man, poor child.

Snotty child with no respect for anyone including her teacher, the officer and probably her parent....or maybe parents. The officers background seems like he's an ok guy but had probably had enough.

A large majority of our younger people are going down a bad road and it's sad.

I'm with duck on the paddle but it'll never happen.

Cyclist - really? I hope your just yanking chains... She is not a kid...she's a young adult and should be arrested, expelled and sued.

I for one am getting tired of this nonsense. Cop was wrong but we've taught our children to be this way.

Curious - so the body slam was wrong I agree. How else should it have been handled?

First rule when dealing with any LEO. Obey commands, fight issue later in court. When you do not, it escalates as the LEO is not likely to submit to your authority or choice to disobey. You are basically asking for it.

And I am also curious, what should have they done? Walk away? Call parents to come get her? Dismiss class and wait for them to show up?

Bring back the claw. These struck fear into us when we were growing up. If a cop used the claw on you, you were on your knees begging for forgiveness real quick.

This is what happens when you bring in the cops to police students. They are cops trained to do what he did. What did they expect?

I am not a police fan at all, but ****, if the man tells you to do something you better well start doing it! The guy is getting railroaded and I hope he has a strong union. Which is something else I don't really like.

Yes, cop would have never done that to a white girl BUT, NAACP should be grateful that the cop didn't follow normal SOP and shoot her.

The situation is bad all around. The Sheriff went on record today and did state that there is other footage that shows the female throwing a punch at the deputy first (felony battery on LEO). The Sheriff further stated that during the investigation the teacher who requested the help and the school administrator who was also present both defended and approved of the deputies actions in that particular situation. That being said taking her to the ground in the chair was not on him, rather it was on her for resisting both verbally and physically (both are crimes) but the actual take down where it appears that she was thrown toward the front of the classroom was a little overkill and is what assisted in him losing his job along with public opinion, biased news reporting that cherry picks its' way through any story to satisfy its' own agendas and working for an elected official that probably wishes to seek office again. Long story short he put himself by his own actions in a bad place that cost him his job, but by no means should she be looked at as a victim, instead she should be looked at as the criminal whose own stupid actions caused force to be used upon her and she should face charges.

    Hahahahahahahaha.....:grin

Do you know how many caucasian kids I've seen "jacked" by school security over the years?....Well...If I was standing there nekid...and counted everything sticking out.....it would be over "21".....:grin

Come on guys......none of you "criers :cry" has yet to say what you would do if it was up to you being the officer....nor have any of you gave your plan and time limit.....step by step....

Let's make it real simple....(1)...ask her to come with you to office.....she says "FU"...NO!...(2) clear the class room (3) call for backup (4) with backup in place ask her one more time to get up and comply....60 seconds later she gets cuffed...and it's up to her what level of restraint is applied....

    Got a problem with it?

He is in a current court case for excessive force, court date in January, he has had a previous court case for excessive force.

I would have squatted down next to her, asked her what was wrong and if there was anything I could do to help. Who knows what this girl was going through. Maybe she is a victim on being molested, maybe someone she loved killed themselves recently, maybe she was thinking of being the one killing themselves.
**** is wrong with you people.

What do you think Jesus would have done?

So what she was texting during class, her loss if she wasn't listening. Maybe she can listen and text at the same time, maybe she was texting what was being said, you know, taking notes. Surely some of you remember taking notes. (maybe not)
My son takes his notes on his phone, every day. Takes pictures of what is being put on the board... He uses the technology he has available to do the best he can.

Some cop ever put his hands on my son for that and that cop would find out what a mistake that was, real fast.
How about the other girl that spoke up? She was exercising her 1st amendment rights and got arrested too.
I hope the school system and the city that owns it goes bankrupt for what happened, the teacher ends up being a greeter at Wal-Mart, the cop a fry-cook at McD's and the school superintendent a crossing guard.

Ohhhh, the sheriff said, lets see the video. Cop doesn't have video? Oh well.
Yeah, I had a couple of bad *** teachers in school too, one threw me around pretty good once. I placed an arrow with my name on it 6" over his head while he sat on a deer stand, when confronted about it I told him I didn't miss where I was aiming. I met up with another in a parking lot, he shouldn't have drank so much, hit his head when he fell on his car.
Then I went into the Marines and excelled.

Now I'm gentle as a lamb, with a camera.

Hey...how's about this.....make a federal law that there are to be NO CELL PHONES in any school?

I actually do not have a cell phone today.....I most assuredly didn't have one when I went to school ....some years back I got rid of my two cell phones and two pagers...and I've been ok without them...

What I have noticed with TS is that his posts are nearly always filled with BS. Stop trying to come up with excuses for this young ladies actions. She asked for the situation to escalate and committed multiple crimes in the process and is being charged for doing so. The deputy didn't handle the situation in what I believe through my training, education and experience in the proper way so he should have to answer for that as well.

You think you know so much, that's why they probably called you pig, they probably still do.
I did wear a badge and with it I dealt with badder azzes than you encountered, I am sure. I knew for a fact that everyone I encountered was a fighter and had probably killed people, and most were drunk before I got involved. Everyone I had to deal with wanted to do what they wanted, when they wanted and with very little care about the people around them or what the consequences of their actions would be.
I doubt you could have done what I did.

She was a 14 year old girl.
It figures that you couldn't handle her, that you would be afraid she may hurt you with her ball point pen.
    What a manly man.

Good for you and your no phone, probably why you know so little and communicate so poorly.
