Lake cone on the st John's river

Is anyone familiar with Lake Cone? Went there a couple of days ago fishing for bass and got absolutely nothing:(

    Anytime the river is out of the banks the fish will be out in the weeds, way out in the weeds.
    Not sayin you won't catch em but will have better luck fishing somewhere where there are banks/water's edge ....
    If this lake is off of Hwy#50 it is locally refered to as lake Cain, even though the maps refer to it as lake Cone .....

    Do you fish there often? How would you rate bass fishing there?

    I don't bass fish, used to fly fish for em when I was young.
    These days I fish for specks and redfish pretty much exclusively.
    Haven't been to lake Cain in, probably, ten years ........
    Can't really rate the bass fishing, cause I don't keep up with it, etc, etc, etc ....
