Merritt Island Snook 10/13/15

Started exploring on foot and found this guy yesterday. First snook on topwater for me! Released because I didn't bring anything but the rod and the lure that was on it. :banghead

Also saw some small tarpon rolling.
Might get the boat back there and see what else can be had.

Nice fish.....But if it's a keeper....You carry it back by the mouth of whatever you can latch onto.
Going down the backstreet listening to Blackstreet
    Running around the whole town
Neighbors yelling at me like, "You need to slow down."
Going thirty-eight, Dan, chill the f**k out
Mow your **** lawn and sit the hell down

I didn't have a way to measure it! Wont happen again. After seeing Duckman's snook that he grabbed out of the mangroves, I feel like this one would have kept.

    Nice work....

For the "on foot"..they make little tape measurers for seamstress's..... very small.

Congrats on the Snook! Still need to get mine this season, have only been once. What Salty and Duckman said, I have marks on my rod and have a sewing tape measure in my bag, just waiting to use them....

X2...get one with big numbers and dashes. That way when you are alone you can snap a picture of the fish and seamstress tape ruler side by side and still make out the length.

Gotcha. BTW, what topwater and color was this caught on?

It's was a red and white. Not sure past that as it is now stuck in the mangroves across from my spot. I'm hoping to go find it on the boat over the next few days.

I love fishing those little cuts and trails way to go!
Make the forum great again.....consolidate general fishing with for sale or business but keep reports separate!

Thanks. If you do get it back, post a pic.
