Any of you guys ever use it for your sliding glass door tracks? Had a guy at the true value was pushing it big time but I didn't want to drop $10 until I got a little feedback on it. Thanks

A big issue with sliding doors is that, over time, they become more difficult to open. This can be caused by dirty tracks or misalignment. First, tackle cleaning the door. Use a shop-vac to vacuum up the dirt and debris built up along the tracks where the door slides. Use an old tooth brush or flat head screwdriver to get into the small crevices and channels to loosen up any stubborn debris.

Once the dirt is removed, clean the tracks with either a general purpose cleaner or dish soap and warm water. After the tracks are rinsed and dry, lubricate the tracks. You can use a silicone spray, which won't attract dirt like other types of lubricating sprays. For an easy DIY solution, run a bar of soap or paraffin wax along the tracks for smooth sliding.

Think about your slider like a train on the tracks...

Ever seen anyone grease the tracks?...

Or is it that the wheel bearing that get greased?

IF you slop up the tracks with anything sticky....dirt and sand will stick to it ....compounding the problem.

Pull the door....check the wheels...replace if necessary...PROPERY adjust the dry film lubricated wheels....

5 years from now do the same thing....

I cleaned the tracks and used brave duty silicone which did okay. This guy made it sound like it was a miracle stuff.

According to the MSDS it is 55% Naptha. It is mineral spirits.
