    What?

    Where did Meyer come from?

How many Big Ten Coach of the year awards does Meyer have?

    :sign

The Motha f'er had two NC's going into his first year at tOSU!!!!!!!
Mac turned around Colorado, COLORADO, as a HC. That's it.
Pretending that is in the same world shows your inability to have an objective convo on the topic.
Holy wow you are off on this. People who refuse to admit they are wrong generally have deep issues.

    TOSU
2011 under Fickell = 6-7 w/ a loss to the Gata in the bowl.
    2012 under Urban = 12-0.

This all supports my point that coaching is the most important part of CFB.

Comparing Mac and Urb (at this point) is a joke. Comparing tOSU team's first year situation under Meyer to this Gata team under Mac is a joke.

Did he or did he not have the head coaching spot in the summer prior to The season?
    I honestly don't know.
If he didnt you have no point, if he didn't you have a broken leg to stand on.
Meyer got the job how long before his zero loss season?
    Break it down for us.

Fickell was named interim coach for the first 5 games (Tressel's original self imposed suspension) in March of the 2011 season. It was not until May that Tressel resigned. Regardless it was well known at the time that the school was going to go after Meyer and that certainly put a damper on Fickell being able to handle things how he wanted too. The entire university was in a disarray with what was going on. The season was a complete abdominally proven by Ohio State not having a sub .500 season for the previous 25+ years.

Meyer went 12-0 in 2012. What is the point? 2010 Tressel went 12-1. 2009 Tressel went 11-2.

You act as if Meyer miraculously turned a dumpster fire in to an undefeated team. The cupboard wasn't dry in Columbus when he got there and quite frankly he did just what he was suppose to do.

Who said coaching wasn't the most important job? Obviously it is. They are paid the most - why wouldn't it be?

If UF had Ohio State's 2014 schedule they'd win the Big Ten and make the playoff.

Noticed you refused to acknowledge this while you were making up my side of the argument in your head.

So a bad coach "Fickell" ran the team into the ground.
As you have said, losing seasons are an anomaly at tOSU.
Urban comes in and has a better record than the Holy vest w/ the Vest's players.
    You keep making my point.

Look we get it, you love Meyer.

Ohio State was a dumpster fire before Meyer arrived - oh how blessed we are, because NO WAY any other coach would have wanted to coach there.

    Not making anything up.
You comparing the two when one team had a proven HOF coach w/ chips to a team w/ an unproven coach from MAC is the point.
    You are losing, badly.

    I love facts.
A losing record and a bowl loss is "the ground" for tOSU. As you said it only happens every 25 years.

You love tOSU and can't talk about it objectively.
I don't love "Urb". I am on the record that OSU will **** the bed this year. (remember the bet you are scared of?)

Like it or not, that's not true at all. Look at the gators last 4 years ( actually make it 5) and look at OSU and FSU last 4 years. One aberration in 2012 but overall not at all similar to OSU and FSU. Ridiculous for you and Zimmer to think its the same.

Obviously Ohio State is a better program than UF.

We were discussing two particular years - 2014 and 2015.

    Thanks for stopping by though.

Yes and the Gators are not like your OSU team team in 2014. You have to look at where they came from in the previous years as well. Oh and someone seems a little bitter about UF being that we have manhandled OSU in football and Bball. :grin

Thad Matta is practically the only person who cares about basketball in Columbus. Ohio State is a football school.

2006 Gator win doesn't really count in Columbus either. Real national championship was November 28th. I know you don't understand, but it is what it is. The 08 loss to LSU hurt way more than the 06 loss.

2011 Gator bowl with an interim head coach. Congratulations. I wanted Fickell to beat that ***, but he came up short. I thought Meyer should have coached the game since he was officially the head coach then. Put him right in the thick of it against his old team.

The similarities between 2014 OSU and 2015 Gators in context meant the teams were young. Our offensive line and QB in 2014 had won nothing - pretty much the same as 2015 Gators.

If anything the comparison is a great compliment to the potential this 2015 Gator team has.

Next three games will be critical to see if UF is legit or not.

Should really know something after next weeks game @LSU at 7pm. That will be a tough win.

You keep ignoring the biggest and most glaring difference between the two teams.

Not sure what is going on with your kicker. Miss an extra point? Twice? LOL?

Only games I see on the schedule that are iffy is LSU and GA - and GA was just exposed and UF has them at home.

I don't see why UF is not in the picture for the East.

Game is at a neutral site w/ each school getting 50% of the tickets.
