Only counter I will offer is OSU had 2 QB's this time last year and the starter was a true freshmen. The post season offense was dumbed down quite a bit for Jones as well. Yes Zeke was a great asset to have, and makes one wonder why he isn't being used more this year.
I was surprised UF did not make the top 10 in these rankings. You guys put an old fashioned spanking on Ole Miss - whether they were hung over from Bama or not. UF certainly looked like a complete top 10ish team to me.

Yes I will jump on the bandwagon. Back in the day when the Gators played the Canes every season they were our despicable rivals along with Notre Dame. FSU was always considered a respectable rival. I have come around and will support the Gators now as long as they are not playing Miami. I do not see a problem with that. Sometimes life brings changes.

UGA is the SEC rival to UF while UT is the kissing 2nd cousin twice removed that goes to the woodshed...

The only difference between FSU and all the other colleges are other colleges accept you into the university's. At FSU you are taken into custody.
I disagreed when the AP put OleMiss #3 for beating Bama. That was too big of a jump for winning one game.

Comparing UF's situation to tOSU in 2014 is laughable.
tOSU had arguably the best coach in the nation leading their young team.
I'll have to argue this one.
UF is the biggest in state rivalry to FSU.
UM is the most hated rival to FSU due to the history and close nature of the games in the past.
Simply put, UF has played FSU 5 more times and more consistently than UF has played UM.
I actually said this the other day.
Big similarities:
-They are winning, but not in a dominant fashion.
-They let other teams stick in the game or even take a lead for WAY long then they should, finally the talent emerges and a big play occurs that seals the win.
-They get respect in the polls for being the defending champion and winning in the dominant fashion that they did the year prior.
Only difference? Our schedule was a bit tougher in 2014 than yours is this year. Your schedule this year is MUCH harder than ours with the emergence of NW, MSU and Michigan as real contenders.

How many would have Urb won at UF with his own players? 1?
Look Meyer and his offense works. I'll give you that after being a skeptic, although Meyer himself has admitted it beats the hell out QB's and is one major reason OSU is moving more towards a spread/pro style team and dropping the read option.
FWIW Meyer was not even given the Big Ten Coach of the Year award - since he took over at OSU.
The similarities between UF and OSU 2014 are there - regardless if you want to see them or not.

I still *think* we are better then 2014 FSU by miles. I don't think you will see us get blown out in the first round of the playoff's - but I do think there is a pretty good chance we drop a close game in November sometime, whether that cost us a Big Ten title is up in the air at this point.
I think OSU is the most talented team in college football this year - but they will not go undefeated if the coaching staff does not motivate better and stop being so wishy washy on offense.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves ok.
NW is always a pretty decent team. They are a program that simply does not have the funds to run a good athletic department and thus get the short end of the stick recruiting - their stadium sits like 35,000 for example. Pat Fitzgerald is a passionate and good coach. They always bring their A game.
MSU is on the up and up the last few years. Let us not forget however that Meyer is 2-1 against Dantonio. I like to refer to MSU as Ohio State lite, since the majority of their staff are Tressel guys.
*ichigan is getting a ton of credit for nothing much really. Their offense is coming together. Their defense is stout. Hairball has the players buying in to his system and I have no doubt he is motivating. But lets face it their best win was against BYU which won 2 of their previous 3 games on last second hail Mary's against bad teams (Nebraska and Boise). They have shut out their last two opponents though and I am sure they are not be over looked, but I said preseason with their schedule I could see 9-10 win season. This will be a game we get to see if Meyer really "gets it" or not. We will know more about *ichigan after the next two weeks - NW and MSU. Unfortunately for OSU they play *ichigan the week after MSU - so the team is probably going to be a bit beat up.

GT has pooped the bed, fell completely out.
UM sucks, lost to Cinci and didn't even receive a single vote for the AP poll.
Clemson and UF are our only remaining ranked teams, with a chance that neither is in the top 15 by the time we play.

But I expect *ichigan to start dropping games pretty quickly. If they win 4 of their last 7 I would be surprised.
NW could easily drop 2 games as well. Lot of people talking about Iowa being the sleeper in the West.
Just have to see how it plays out, but the Big Ten is moving in the right direction these last couple years.

If you want to say that having arguably the best coach in the nation is the same as a coach coming out of the MAC I can't help you.
