On a side note, after the first miss, the refs relocated the ball 5 yards closer to the center of the field dramatically reducing the angle of the kick. Got to watch those mfer zebras every second. Wonder how that would have gone down if he had made it?
Would they have reviewed the spot and make him rekick.?Just another thing you have to watch out for when coaching.
And **** the officiating has just been getting worse and worse every year.
I am guessing he said neither and you are assuming hence no proof of what you are implying.

Then again, he may not have wanted right after the game to admit the ST's screwed up forcing the TO. Because that was almost as bad. I'll take bets that he'll never do it again.
My wife was kicking me because I was cussing in the stands because it seemed like they had tried to ice the kicker-- which I hate because it just gives the guy a practice kick.
The kicker's already had time to think about it and get nervous if that was even in his DNA.
I thought the 2nd kick was good because I was in that end zone at mid level( about where the XP's land.). So I was watching the ball coming with a slight hook but then got distracted when The UT coaches and players ran onto the field, So I thought it must have gone thru. I was sick and disgusted. A nano second later the stadium erupted but based on our luck the past 2-3 years I still needed to see the replay. #rollercoaster. Like I said, I doubt if Mac ices another kicker, but I guess it could depend on scouting reports, the weather, etc.
BTW, do you see my note about how the refs incorrectly placed the ball on the rekick much closer to the center of the field. There would have been some doodoo hittin' the fan if he makes it then.
Did like Mac's comments regarding the crowd not wanting to leave, " maybe we can sell more popcorn."
I enjoyed the few times he did speak at Alabama. Hard not to like him unless you have a tendency for throat slashes...

Answer - I was until I realized we may have had 12 guys.
Point - He called time out before realizing they had 12 guys on the field.

You're wrong. The rules say it should have been a penalty on florida. Once the offense is set and the snap is imminent or already occuring (which it was), it is too late to call timeout to avoid a penalty. Screwed again. I got this straight from Rocky Goode, head of SEC officals yesterday on sportstalk990 in knoxville.

4 refs failed to throw a flag on the play. They should have penalized Florida. Once again, Florida game + FLA refs= UT Loss.

I did not notice the spot of the second field goal attempt. I went to youtube and found the entire game and yes they did move the ball towards the center of the field. That is interesting.
UF was out of time outs? So they could not have challenged/reviewed it?
Who knows what would have happened had it been good.

Pretty sure we had another TO. Blame coaches up stairs-- that should have seen it even more obvious -- it was loud-- very loud.? Maybe they could not relay the message?? Don't know-- refs should have known better as well. Don't know if that's reviewable if it's made and you could force them to rekick from the original right hash.

The rekick was taken almost dead center when it was supposed to be taken from the right #. So the re-kick had a much improved angle compared to what he should've had to make. That's the reason he was much farther off on the first kick compared to the second kick
UF will be exposed as the team that we ALL know that they are this year.
