Anyone use a handle extension on their bow mount trolling motor?
I recently bought a bay boat with a bow mount trolling motor on it. The problem is that the shaft of the motor is really too short and the motor needs to be set very low making it hard to use. I considered having a longer shaft installed on it but it costs too much considering the age of the motor and how much I really use it. I'm thinking that the simplest and most economical solution would be to get a handle extension for it and was wondering if anyone out there uses one on a bow mounted motor and could recommend a good one. If you use one, does it work well? Thanks.
