"Rainy Season" Action! - Propiedad de Paradise Lodge, Panama - August 2015

Pesca Pimp Panama

We only fished 4 days on the "TOP Cat" in August 2015 out of Propiedad de Paradise Lodge here on Isla Paridas in the Gulf of Chiriquí, Panama. Two days with returning client Miguel Valorino and sons...and two days with first timers to Panama Mike, Bill, and Walter. The action was good at Isla Montuosa with both groups. We ran into some Yellowfin Tunas at the end of the first day, with Miguel and sons, that were up and busting a bait ball of Tinker Mackerels right next to the boat! The next time we passed by Montuosa with Mike and co. we slayed the Wahoo and got 9 hits and caught 5 in a matter of a couple of hours. The action around Isla Ladrones was good with Miguel as well as we got 3 Wahoo and missed a few more the second day with those guys. Ladrones was a bit slower with Mike and co. the second day but we caught and released a healthy Cubera before the weather turned nasty and we ran back in.

We also have been hard at work this past month improving our island lodge. Check out the photos of the new improved tropical hardwood deck that we almost have completed! Looking forward to relaxing and enjoying some rum drinks on it soon!

Thanks man! Termites are everywhere here in Panama! Most build with concrete as it is also is not susceptible to water damage like wood. We choose to build with a local hardwood as we have more experience building with wood, it is easier to transport here to the island, and the termites don't eat it.

That is why I was asking, I do major projects for Tropic Star, and the termites there are everywhere.
The original cottages are wood and are constantly under attack.
