I have a friend that is known nationally for his watercolors....
back around 2000 he was gripping about having to sit outside and draw in his subject and either paint it on site or make notes for colors...
I said take a picture, it last longer....
so he went out and bought the state of the art Nikon film af (before digital) and a bunch of glass...
he became a really good photographer along the way...
however, he only shows his pix to very close people and has never attempted to display his images publicly which is a shame...
