No but is very similar to "chumming". Baiting has long been an accepted way of taking big cats in Africa dating well back into the 19th century. If you don't like it don't do it. Cancel your safari or insist on a strictly "spot and stalk" hunt. It's your money (or the evil dentist money) to spend and Zimbabwe will be glad to have some of it in exchange for one of their sustainable population of lions. Good luck. Post pictures:wink
They can paint "Turkey Killer" on our garage (sometimes).
Add - Beware - if you do anchor over a reef and lay down a chum line (bait) better hope you don't bring in a fish named "the beloved something". I'm certain many divers will have already seen/photographed this extra special fish you just brought to possession and it won't matter if you took it legally or not. Buy extra paint for your garage door if you happen to catch "Gary the Beloved Grouper". Is this fun or what. What a circus.
Ted Nugent just stated he killed Fernando a few years back. Showed a picture on Face Book.
Fernando was Cecil's great grandpaw .When asked about this his is only statement was Lion...the Other White Meat.
Will the horrors never end...
I love this stuff and all of these liberal Nancy boys. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the country that is selling the tags. They are more than happy to sell a tag for 25k to shoot a lion, but they want to extradite you because you shot the wrong lion! "he was famous!" :cry Lions are not endangered and they have been hunted for years. Hey,, here is a tag to shoot a killer whale, "OH GOD YOU KILLED SHAMU, SHAME SHAME SHAME" . If you want to see big game animals go extinct in record time, make them illegal to hunt. When the hunters stop paying big bucks to hunt them, the only game in town will be the Asians. When the big game hunters money is gone how are they going to pay to protect the animals from the poachers? They wont.
P.S. I don't hunt at all unless you consider poking a flounder with a gig hunting. I also would not have killed that lion or any other. If you want to play 50k to shoot an animal that is not endangered that is your business, not mine.
