On line maybe, but go to a store, they're always out of stock on line. But this is the best, most simple, most indestructible Dove slaying Deer slaying, hog killing, duck hunting piece of equipment you can get.
Another option, your local pawn shop. You can probably pick up a single shot for under $100.00

Given everything I have learned to date, a shotgun is a better option.
Can you easily maneuver around your home in the dark with a shotgun? What about your wife? Can she handle a shotgun? A revolver is a better choice of weapon if for nothing else you don't have to make all that noise racking it and it allows you to move around the home easier. But whatever......

I think racking it is 90% of the home defense. An intruder hears that he's making a quick exit. you could probably do just as well with an app for your phone that simulates racking a shotgun and chase someone out.

Just how much maneuvering do you think you need to do? With a shotgun, all I have to be is close.

I don't need to rack it. Already got one there waiting and 4 more behind that one.

A scatter gun is the way to go....hands down...the best choice that anyone could make for home defense....
Slugs will go through walls.....00 buck will also but not many.......birdshot on the other hand will go through one...at close range....but not any more...
A 55 gallon steel drum at 10 feet will get a hole blasted through one side with 7 1/2 shot........at 30 feet it just get's dented......after that the paint gets knocked off...
I like what's called #4 buck for the first two...then two 00 buck and then one slug..... I have a butt sock shell holder that has all slugs and a bandoleer that has 12 00 and 13 slugs next to the weapon.....
....and if that ain't enough and that army that I can't hold off is getting the better of me...I have a James Bond Cyanide capsule.......:grin
I like the Benelli 12 ga Nova with the ghost ring sights...that are worthless in the dark anyway.....I am not a fan of a pistol grip on a shotgun as they put your face in a position that doesn't lend itself to a correct instinctive shooting position and allows the rear of the receiver to smack you in the snot box should you stuff 3 1/2" magnum shells in the weapon.....

When you clear your home it is more difficult to maneuver with a long arm. You need two hands so turning lights on, and opening doors is more difficult. It is easier for someone to attack and disable it while clearing your house when opening doors, turning lights on, ect... Unless you are going to act like a scared fool and sit in the corner of a room while waiting for the cops to tell you it was just a racoon.
This is my go to home defense. Pull the pin and toss, no pointing aiming or exposure to the criminal element. The down side is I'm on my fourth kitten in as many months. **** things make a lot of noise in the middle of the night,

A revolver would make a better home defense weapon imo

No. And if that situation ever arose my cast net would do the job.

If you do want one Buds has a non camo HD version for $378 shipped.
For another $40 you can get a 9 shot Mossberg 590 SP.
Or look around for a used Ithaca Deerslayer, Rem 870, etc.
