On the water by 6:15 with some family that had NEVER been out before…went to Pelicans and then east in search of some life. Put the lines out at 110’ with a temp break, jumped from 79 to 80.5, crossed through a small weed line and then the cudas started. Was fun catching a few, but not what we were after. Pulled lines and went north, found a nice weed line and patches in 140’. My cousin hooked up with a NICE bull, only got him to bite with a spoon and an entire squid while pitching to the patches. Within a min, he was spooled and the big boy was dancing…unfortunately the braid snapped/got cut. Then we stopped off for an attempt at bttm fishing, not much luck other than the friendly remoras. Overall great day out with the family!
Oh yea, got to meet the triple engine FWC vessel about 25 miles out, as they performed a courtesy safety and fish check. Too bad we didn’t any fish to be checked! All was good, no issues or attitudes.

When you have all those Brevard County drug runners and recreational fishermen decimating the red snapper population, you need to be able to get out there quick!
Maybe I am just jealous since I only have twins, LOL.
