    Why the Aussie commentators?

Actually one Aussie (Leigh Diffey) one Englishman (Steve Matchett) and one Canadian(Paul Tracy).

It was broadcast by NBC Sports who also broadcast F-1 races and Matchett and Diffey are commentators on there as well.

When are you going to stop being a ****??

That was the most intense Indy car race, possibly ever. I believe they had 8 lead changes on one lap!

Indy cars man up and put on rain tires when it rains. :blowkiss

rain tires only in road races. Races stop in rain, can't fly a plane upside down in the rain!
BTW drivers were raising hell on twitter about safety after this race. Wasn't that long ago we lost Dan Weldon in a race that should not have been run!

Please, a Nascar driver couldn't;t hold the jock of an F1 driver...Nascar is only interdasting when they turn right.

Even the motorcycle races use rain tires.
It's kind of neat to see it called to put them on.
The call is made by the lead rider.
  • This one at the 500 filled our beers full of debris.

It's OK we drank them anyway!

BTW, my wife has had these seats since she was 16 ! (Got them from a family friend named Mario.....)

    Sorry, not F1, Indy Car!
My wife makes me get this right, she has been to over 50 Indy 500's!!!!!!!

This is the one where we lost Dan Wheldon

Clearly Indy cars should have never run on that track! Too small and too fast with IRL cars.

Remember these things regularly hit 234 MPH.

Yeah, Juan Pablo Montoya sure showed those NASCAR Rednecks who the REAL driver was..... :rotflmao

I especially liked when he CRASHED INTO THE BACK OF THE TRACK DRYER UNDER YELLOW...What a Great driver...a real testament to his skill and cat like reflexes.... :rolleyes

Thanks lucky...that was the set up I needed. :blowkiss

****! You beat me to it. Most open wheel drivers fail miserably when they go to NASCAR.

Danica is in top shelf equipment...and is a solid mid pack bet....If she doesn't wreck out.

But, she has a taco...so she has that going for her. :dance

That and she was a top 10 in open wheel and a top 20 in NASCAR. I still root for her, but she was better suited in open wheel. Rmember Steve Kinser. The top dog in World Of Outlaw cars. Cant imagine anything harder to drive, yet he gave up in NASCAR. How about Travis Pastrana, Mr. Do it all. He couldn't even run in the top 20 in the Bush series. He's gone yet won at every level of racing he has ever entered.

    Don't forget Sam Hornish.

Danica? I like her because she is different....pretty and young does not her her appeal to the crowd either.
They are trying to get a Black guy moved up to the big show ( Darryl Wallace) Has potential but you never know how they will do....having "friends" is important for young rookies....look at the Dillon boys...do you think "gramps" helps their career? :rolleyes They are "insiders" and can't help but be the next generation of NASCAR.

I was at Fontana when Greg Moore died. Terrible wreck.

Moore flipping off Montoya at 200+ MPH. Sooo ****.

You can bad-mouth Indy all you want. But don't even try that with street racing F1. I would like to see NASCAR guys try their hand at F1, say starting at Monaco.

    Mario being the exception

We don't have a history of NASCAR drivers going to F1. On the other hand, Montoya was in F1, came to NASCAR, failed, went back to open wheel Indy cars and won the Indy 500.

Do NASCAR drivers know how to change gears after the first 30 seconds? :)

Are those seats H block or J block? We sit in H 13 about 8 rows from the top.

Your vast LACK of knowledge is apparent....and also we know what race you DIDN'T watch this past Sunday.
The Bush boys were 1 - 2 at SONOMA this past weekend.

    Lack of knowledge of NASCAR?

Standing proud on that one! :)
