I have a boat on order to be built, but I have now been waiting since last September. In the interim I'm interested in seeing what's available on the used market. If anyone comes across a 27 Contender or the like, please let me know.

I'm having a Competition built. He's about a year out on builds. I sold my boat too soon and it's driving me nuts being that I went from fishing pretty much every week to boatless. Fortunately, the shops keeping me busy but putting towers on boats every day doesn't help my withdrawals.

The best place to look is The Hull Truth. They pop up all the time on there...you just may have to travel a little ways to get it. From I've seen they don't last long on THT so you need to be ready yo pull the trigger pretty quickly. I have seen 2 27 open contender in the last month that sold within 2 days

I look there daily and made offers on both of them. The issue I run into often is the value put on electronics. More than likely everything will be stripped and redone. If someone recently updated, they want to try and recoupe their expense. Since I get electronics at cost, it's hard to justify paying for something I won't be using. They certainly go quick. This is why I try and find folks replacing the boat theyre selling. I can more than likely save them far more on new rigging(electronics, riggers, lighting, safety equipment, etc) than what they would get out of what's currently installed.
