Stuart Offshore 6/25/15 Multiple sailfish, bonitas, and dolphin

It was a great day offshore in two parts. In the morning I had my client Phillipe, his son Jules, and Phillipe's boss Thomas. Only challenge was that Thomas had to be back in by 11:30 to catch an afternoon flight.

We loaded up on sardines north of Bullshark, then ran out to a nice edge in 110'. We caught our first sail rather quickly and Jules did a great job on the rod. Not 10 minutes after resetting, we hooked up sail #2 for Phillipe, which we also successfully released. Then about 1/2 dozen bonitas came for a visit until the porpoises fed well. One small dolphin was boated a bit after that, then it was time to head back to the marina to drop off Thomas and Jules.

Phillipe decided to shoot back offshore with me since we still had a load of sardines left. Back out to a different edge in 135, toss one bait out, went to grab the second rod and I look back to see a sail already chasing our first bait in the water. Talk about stopping on top of one! Phillipe did a great job catching that sail, then things went quiet for a bit.

We went back inshore, but it was the wrong move, so with roughly a 1/2 hour left to our day, I shot back out to 150' to the remaining minutes, long story short, our very last bait on the rigger that was out as we were clearing lines got nailed, I dropped back, and we had sail #4 on. We ran it down, got the release, and went out on a high note.

All fish were caught on VMC circle hooks, all were hooked in the corner of the mouth, and all hooks were removed and fish revived well before swimming off.

4/4 on sails
1 dolphin on ice
6 bonitas
2 refreshing vodka drinks to celebrate a great day off Stuart. :beer

I guess it's a good problem to run out of sailfish flags.

Great day and cool pics. Short of a pro, I think you're moving towards an award for most days on the water (for a working man).

:rotflmao That's pretty simple really. I have no kids and am very good at time management. I'm almost always working on weekends and fish during the week whenever possible to avoid the crowds. I'm also blessed to have great people working along side of me. My father passed away at 63 and I refuse to waste one day of my life going forward. I'll never apologize for fishing on days that it doesn't interfere with work.
