First Trip to the Everglades in the New Boat.

I've been M.I.A from the forums for a while but while I've been gone I finally picked myself up a proper fishing machine. I traded in the paddles for an outboard and got myself an Action Craft Flyfisher. Yesterday was the first of many road trips. This was a short one down to Chokoloskee to do some exploring. My plan down there was to just find some quality spots using my new Dragonfly 7 and get them marked and ready for a winter full of camping trips. As always I jumped oyster bar to oyster bar until I found the ones that produced. As always the Everglades produced quality fish that were quick to eat and put some fresh slime on my new boat. The ticket yesterday for me was quartering up some crabs that were left over from a past tarpon trip and Riptide's new pinfish color paddle tails. My buddy Jon saw success with some pink soft plastics that his brother just started producing.

sweet boat, been looking at the action craft for a long while....when the right used comes along perhaps.
So, how do you like it? how does she draft? what about the ride down to the glades?

I love it man, it'll draft about 8"-10" depending on the amount of people, but it does take about 2.5' to get up and run. I did the same thing as you're doing. I held out for a used one at the right price to come along.

Is that the 1720 Flyfisher? I have the same one if it is... although in 99 they called it a bayrunner still.
Love that boat... I wouldn't sell it for twice what it's worth.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

Yup, it's the 1720. The hull is a 2000 so the first year they changed it. I love it. Some minor things that need to be changed out and fixed due to the previous owner not keeping up on routine stuff and apparently being a hardcore YouTube DIYer but other than that she runs and fishes like a champ.
