Caxambas Pass June 13 Drought Ends!

On the water at 6:50, water temp 83 and 2 dozen shrimp in the livewell.
Straight to the beach throwing a chug bug.
1st cast, jack crevalle.
2nd cast, 18" trout.:grin
20 minutes later, the drought ends........
Storyline: After 12 years in Naples, I moved to St.Pete for 2 years. NO SNOOK.....
Chug bug, beach and a 22" snook. finally!
10 minutes later, 34" snook! :wink
And 3 more linesiders followed.
To the mangroves.....(did watch a guide land a 60" maybe 70 pound(?) tarpon in blind pass.
3 more small snook on shrimp/cork combo and a keeper trout.
Back to the beach throwing a blue Yo_Zuri jerk bait.
30" snook! And another larger one, lost halfway to the boat.:huh

Days Tally:
3 keeper trout, 16-18 inches.
7 snook, 18-34"
2 mangrove snapper (1 on the Yo-Zuri)
1 sheepshead
5 jacks
1 ladyfish
3 catfish while chunking the ladyfish.
I am thankful my personal drought has ended!!!
