Banana River Reds and Tarpon

AceDawgAceDawg Posts: 111 Officer
Got a wide variety of bites in the Banana River today. In total 6 reds, a small snook, 2 juvenile tarpon, my buddy got a nice black drum on a mirrolure (of all things for them to hit, haven't seen that before) and a handful of trout. Was able to snap a pic of the nicer red fish of the day and of one of the tarpon.

Awesome. I was up there a few weeks ago. I borrowed a friends kayak and paddled around for an hour. I had no clue how to fish that river, but there was bait (mullet and pilchards) everywhere near the 528 bridge and my friends dock was home to several "pet" redfish. Looks like a fun place to fish.
