Satellite Images?

I have 2 questions about Navionics satellite images. I purchased the Platinum+ #632 for my Humminbird 788ci. The standard nautical chart works perfect, but I can't seem to get the satellite photo overlay to work on my unit. Could it be that the 788ci does not support this option? Next question is about the Navionics app on my iPhone. I can get the satellite overlay for land, but it doesn't work over the water. It actually loads up the water image but is quickly replaced by the blue chart image, except for the land areas, which is actually quite useless. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help I can get.

you are corect on the 788. The platinum plus will not run fully on that model plotter. No sat overlay, 3D or fish n chip data unfortuinately. There was talk that there could be a software update for that model to run it but since has gone away. sorry for that. Best chart for that unit is Gold or Fish n Chip (be advised FNC is going away as a stan alone sku in 2012. All the info will be put into Platinum Plus. Nice value but if your ubnit cant run P+, grab fish n chip now!).

On iphone app, we are working on a function to allow you to put it on land and water if you choose. wont be able to shade it down and see contours or spot soundings. Thats only for the chips.
