Redfish and Snapper 5/30

Launched out of Cockroach before sunrise. 2 throws of the net and filled the wells. Headed inshore to where I have been on a killer redfish bite.

It was a different story this trip. The fish just did not want to eat. They would hit the bait and just hold it in their mouths. In 2 hours we only got 4 to the boat from 23" to 27".

When the tide died we went Snapper fishing. The bite was on but the wind and tide were fighting each other and could not hold over the ledge. What I ended up doing is kept the outboard in reverse to hold the anchor tight. It was difficult but we got it done with Snapper to 19". G1829316_1432987475617_high-01_zpsxreurn5q.jpeg

Bait is EVERYWHERE out of Cockroach. I got out early enough to hit the markers before the crowds showed up.

The I Pilot wouldn't hold you on the ledge?

I wish I had an ipilot. My trolling motor is a Riptide manual steer.
