Angler Management KDW recap - new team gets lucky and gets a check and trophy

With almost 300 boats in the fleet it was game on! The fishing was tough for many and slow for the rest with full moon coming and flat seas. We concentrated on some shallow water action looking for that big kingfish. We had a brand new team in place for this one that is chartering us for tournaments so I didn't know what to expect. We had a mix of threadfin and Gogs and bump trolled from 65-100 for most of the day. We managed a dozen king bites with two fish being in the mid/ high teens. As we got to just north of PBI we noticed a big dolphin way off in the spread so we pitched a threadfin to him on the 12 pound test outfit and managed to gaff him 20 minutes later.

We iced them down and hit the inlet for a few Cudas for some fun and went to the scale and took home 7th overall with a cool trophy and small check. Congrats to Angler Managements new capt. Arthur for fishing hard. As if June 1 Arthur will be running the center console and I'll be mostly on the new predator express "Angler Management 2.0" which will be parked in the slip next to the current boat at sailfish marina.

As always all forum members are always welcome to stop by for a cold one at sailfish marina. I'll try to get a kite seminar together soon also as I have just been too busy to have one over the last few months. Get out and fish as there's action to be had!
