Took my son on his first hog hunt this weekend

We headed out to Labelle, to a friends lease in search of a piggy. We knew it wouldn't take long to find one. The place is like Jurrasic Park with swine.

Walking to one of the stands, I heard a couple grunts. Before making the corner to the stand, I spotted 3 sows through the bushes. One of them was staring right in my direction. So I get down on all fours and crawl to the bend. Still, she was head on staring right at me. So I raise my gun, a scoped .243, to get a better view. What seemed like an eternity, staring at each other, she made a sudden move to her left, I thought she was going to bolt. But she didn't. What she did was give me a perfect shot. She wasn't the biggest, but she sure will taste good. Grilled the straps the next day. The rest is still on ice.
