Canaveral offshore action, Early March?

I am the best man in my best friends wedding in mid march next year, and since one of the other groomsman is underage(17) it kind of rules out a "typical" bachelor party.

So I was thinking that maybe we could just do a full day offshore charter trip.

I'm open to other areas but would prefer to keep it under a 2 hour drive from Canaveral, but before I get too involved in this plan, any body know what kind of action is typically going on offshore of east central FL around late Feb-early March time frame?

We both grew up fishing the lagoon and the port from the time we could walk, but we've never done any true offshore trips.

This year the seas were too rough for an offshore trip during that time. If there's a window you'll need two days ahead of the next cold front. Don't go the day before the front arrives. Grouper is closed so its kings, Wahoo, triggers, flounder, mutton snapper and cobia if you can find them.
