Ok, so I finally decide to fish the river because I could not get offshore. Took a nice lazy pace going up the river from the state park in my Skeeter '24. Fished the flood ditches - nothing. Fished some spots in the channel - nothing. Started to skip cast some gulps under the docks - BINGO!! Two nice largemouths - yep, BASS! Man, if I wanted to bass fish, I would found some fresh water (well, I guess I did!). Those Gulp baits catch everything!
