Left the port at 6:30am and headed east. Lines in at 165 with scattered weeds. No major signs of life so we worked out to 400. No more signs of life then inside so we sig-zaged back and forth for almost 8 hours. One knock down and a miss and one barracuda. WHAT went wrong today? How did you all do? radio was quite except for one sailfish. Around 3pm we run south to ledges in 90 feet and land three nice mangos and a 22lb cobia. At least some meat. Pics in the morning.
Ride out- great morning ride

Part of the spread

Temp was 80.1 -83. Fished 36 fish teaser bar dee and bird teaser on top. Ran one rig with 32 oz inline weight for deeper water. It was fun staying busy changing out gear.
"What's for sale? Unless you have patience and dedication, you'll never be happy! If you don't enjoy the pursuit, sell your stuff and hire a charter. It doesn't get easier, or cheaper than that. Otherwise, shut up and fish!"
Gator-hook your so knowledgeable....or a donkey" the post was more for humor and to see if anyone else struggled. The pursuit is the best part with great friends. Meat in the box is never guaranteed and makes it a much better challenge. Been add it for over 20 years and don't plan on going away. So did you make it out? have not seen a post form you lately about your great catches.
I overlook the ocean everyday, the bait pods haven't shown up yet in full force. When they do.....
Ahhh the pursuit.
