new smyrna inshore/ponce inlet

Took my little jonboat to New Smyrna right at the beginning of the outgoing tide At night. lots of small crabs and shrimp in the water. No action around the north bridge. Hit some lights and got the usual. Small trout, jacks, blues, small mangos. netted a few mullet and decided to go into the inlet. While waiting on something to scarf my mullet, I worked a jig out in the channel and got a 37" red to take it. Ended up catching a big stingray and small shark on mullet. Nothing to bring home, but a fun day.

Gulfstream Lures Flairhawk. They are common jigs in S. Florida. Made in Ft. Pierce.
